Rotorua, New Zealand – February 10th, 2024

The Chase Pro team riders Joris Daudet and Izaac Kennedy met up with international teammate Cedric Butti on the opposite side of the world in New Zealand to kick off the 2024 UCI BMX World Cup tour. These first 6 events for 2024 are ultra important, as these events will determine which countries qualify for the Olympic Games and the riders will also battle within there country teams, to decide who will race in Paris for the Olympics this August.

Joris Daudet has been super strong the past few years and 2024 started the same at the  UCI BMX SX World Cup series with him racing his way to  a 2nd place finish.

Cedric Butti finishes 4th and Izaac Kennedy made his race return from injury and finishes 6th place on day 1’s main event.

On Day 2, Joris once again rode outstanding all day and rode his way into the main event. Izaac unfortunately made a mistake in his 1/4 final and ended his day early. Cedric Butti was once again consistent and made his way into the main event with Joris. When the get dropped Joris grabbed the lead and holeshot, with Cedric just behind. They had Niek Kinnman chasing them down the entire lap, but Joris would pull away and take the win, with Cedric just behind, in 2nd.
What a way to wrap up the 1st weekend of the UCI World Cup. The riders now have a weekend off and then head to Brisbane, in Australia for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the series.

Joris kicked off the 2024 UCI World Cup tour with another podium finish, grabbing a 2nd place, after a consistent day of top finishes on day 1.

Izaac Kennedy raced his way back from injury to a 6th place World Cup finish at the opening round of the 2024 World Cup in New Zealand.
