The Chase Pro BMX team riders of Joris Daudet and Connor Fields both flew into Paris France for rounds 5 & 6 of the 2019 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup.

The event, held at the Saint Quentin en Yvelines covered BMX Sx track has some of the best atmosphere on the UCI tour, where the French crowd makes the BMX SX experience one for each rider to remember, with their enthusiasm and loud cheers. With over 200 Elite Men signed up, this would be the largest field of riders so far this season for the Elite Men. To make things even more difficult for the riders, the Saint Quentin track was a pure mix of speed and technicality, making is even more important than ever to have a near perfect lap each time for Connor and Joris if they wanted to make their want into the prestigious main event each of the 2 days of World Cup Racing.

Last year, Joris Daudet was on the podium each day, capping off the French World Cup weekend with a win. For 2019, Joris would want to be just as consistent and things started off well for him on Saturday. Joris looked to be one of the fastest riders on track, as he made his way thru the qualifying rounds and into the semi final. In that race, a small bobble would cost him the lead but Joris would transfer thru to the main event. When the gate would drop for the final on Day 1, Joris seemed to get shut down instantly by riders next to him who had a better start and Joris was in 7th heading into turn number one. But the Frenchman uses his skills and speed, and made his way thru the pack and up to 3rd by the finish line. This was an incredible comeback race, giving Joris a deserved podium spot.

Day 1 Main event

On Day 2, Joris would again be in top form, making his way into the main event. This time, we would drag race with Kimmann and be in 2nd begins him. Joris would lay it all on the line in an attempt to catch Niek by the finish, but it was just not enough and Joris would finish 2nd for the day. A great weekend for most, but Joris always wants more if its not a win.

Day 2 Main event

Connor Fields made his return to the UCI BMX World Cup tour, as he was absent from the 1st 2 rounds of 2019. Connor mentioned on the BMXlive.tv Webcast on how much he likes to race in France, and its as shown by his good performance on Day 1 in the qualifying rounds. Connor would have the day end early unfortunately in the Semi final on Saturday, as he was in a tight ballet for the top 4 qualifying spot heading into turn one, but a rider crashing into him would end his journey to the main event.

The day 1 Crash would take its toll on Connor, as he was unable to ride to his full potential in practice, so he made the smart decision to sit out Sunday and start the recovery process, so he could be ready for the next swing of race coming up in the next few weeks.
